今天是行程的最后一天了,不舍的心情涌了出来。没关系,好好享受这一天吧! 26/10/2012 8:30 感谢导游把我们带到一家卖玉的店,让我们有机会遇见全香港最有孝心的儿子。由于这位儿子妈妈的脚不方便行动,所以这位身为儿子的,代替母亲从香港赶来广州拜佛。好虔诚,好孝顺啊! 母亲就是这玉店的老板,所以这个做儿子的就是代妈妈拜了神后,再来这店面做生意,就这样巧合下,才有机会迎接我们这一团。这儿子还说,他的妈妈是在大马嫁过去香港的,所以和我们这班马来西亚的团友就算是瞒亲的啦。儿子的这一番话是在是感动呐。。。但,我信你才怪!听到这个"儿子"的废话,什么肮脏话都想骂出来,不骂实在对不起自己的心脏,让自己压着气,心脏却气得跳到乱七八糟实在不好! 这"儿子"还说今天是不做生意的,看看就好,叫我们不要买。每个玉的价钱是上百上千元的,但因为我们是"亲人",原本上百的玉只卖人民币50,你信吗?信你才怪!实在看不过这种耍生意的手法,一来浪费时间说废话,二来看到这种虚伪的做法,实在看不下去。 还好,最庆幸的是,本团是没有任何人购买任何东西的。谢谢大家合作!要是这样也有人购买,实在是。。。无话可说啊!我说嘛,做生意,老老实实好的,别转弯抹角,虚虚伪伪,这招不流行了啦!   26/10/2012 10:30 发泄完毕,到了吃午餐时间,没错,听废话听了一个早上。接下来,吃深圳金钱豹自助餐时间到啦!这里有上百种的食物,有中餐,日本餐,西餐,意大利餐,海鲜类的,烧烤类的,果汁,蛋糕甜品,雪糕等等。。。任你吃。领队说,这一餐要RM100++的,还满贵的呢。

 

Cha Dango 京の茶だんご | Japan

Dango is a Japanese dumpling made from mochiko, rice flour. There are many varieties of dango in Japan and normally three to four dango are often served on a skewer. The texture of the dango is very similar to chinese glutinous flour ball (tang yuan), especially the plain dango, not only the texture, the taste is almost close to tang yuan. On this post, I would like to share on the Cha Dango from Kyoto, Japan 京の茶だんご. It is a green tea flavour dango where only sells in Kyoto area. I have never see this brand of dango in Tokyo.

Cake can be baked in several ways, by using an oven which is the most common way. I knew that cake can be steamed with gas as well. But have you ever tried to bake a cake with rice cooker? Basically I do not hear people in our country bake with rice cooker, and I was surprised to see a book that introduces how to bake a cake with rice cooker. Without further consideration, I bought the book.    

 

Mini Pandan Bun Recipe

All the while, I enjoy blog walking at baking blogs. Recently, I gathered many recipes from baking bloggers, some are breads, some are cakes. I found a special recipes at many baking bloggers' blog, it is call "微波面包", if you translate directly, it means "microwave bun". I believed the name had successfully misleading many people and give impression that it is bake with microwave, but in fact, it is not. It uses conventional method which you need to bake in oven. The speciality of this recipe is that it gives a very soft texture to the bun. I first try with pandan bun recipe, it looks simple but in fact quite time consuming. Rolling each mini bun to swiss roll pattern spent quite long time. Although it is time consuming, but I really enjoy the making process.

DurianButterCake_9I always wanted to bake something with durian since few years ago. Due to some reasons, I was not able to fulfill my dream. This year, I have try with durian butter cake. 

Here you go with the recipe

Ingredients:
250g butter
160g caster sugar
4 eggs
250g durian flesh
230g self raising flour
1/8 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Method:
1.Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2.Add in eggs, one by one, beating thoroughly after each addition.

3.Stir in durian flesh.

4.Fold in sifted flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda. Mix until well combined.

5.Pour batter into cake mould and bake in the preheated oven at 170C for 45 minutes or until cooked.

If you are durian lover and love baking, try it and you will love it! I have tried to bake with both "famous expensive durian" and "not so famous cheap kampung durian". My family prefers kampung durian as you can feel stronger durian fragrance in your mouth at your first bite.

This is a good recipe and I wish to bake it again with the remaining durian that still keep in my fridge. Or I should try with something new? Well, let the time and my mood decide it later. Laughing

Hi Sylvia, I would like to appologize for such a long reply. I had overlook your comment until I came back to read my durian butter cake post today. Answer back to your question, my cake pan is about 18cm x 7cm size. (Sorry not able to measure exact pan size as it is not with me now.)

Tried the recipe yesterday and it turned out lovely. It's like sponge cake - I added more durian flesh in it and cut down on sugar. Yummy! Thanks.
