Plain Cheesecake | Baked with Rice Cooker

Cake can be baked in several ways, by using an oven which is the most common way. I knew that cake can be steamed with gas as well. But have you ever tried to bake a cake with rice cooker? Basically I do not hear people in our country bake with rice cooker, and I was surprised to see a book that introduces how to bake a cake with rice cooker. Without further consideration, I bought the book.

Ampang Homeland Yong Tau Foo 釀豆腐 | Ampang, Kuala Lumpur

Yong Tau Foo (stuffed bean curd) is a Hakka dish famous in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Tau Foo is stuffed with fish (or meat or pork) paste, hence the name "Yong Tau Foo". Since then, variety of vegetables or fried fritters is stuffed with the fish paste, but all are categories as "Yong Tau Foo". Two weeks ago, we travelled to KL for food hunting and shopping. Among the food we hunted in KL, Yong Tau Foo suits our taste the most! This was the first meal we hunted for when we first arrived in KL.

Fresh Sashimi | Hypermarket Japan

I have just passed my first weekend in Japan. This time I am in Osaka. For my first shopping, I bought a lot of foods, not for one day, but for one week. Since this time I will at here for only 3 weeks, so I bought some to bring back to Malaysia too. On Sunday, I bought a pack of sashimi for my dinner. 6 types of sashimi in a box. Although it is from hyper market, but all are very fresh. I like salmon and prawn the most. Just now, I tried the pre-pack sesame cold noodle. During summer, they have different kinds of cold noodle. This cold noodle is instant pack that I bought from same hyper market. Taste not bad too. Others food that I bought include can coffee, yakult, biscuits, egg pudding that I like so much, fruit juice, milk tea that I miss so much, varient kinds of pocky and more. Caramel egg pudding I wish I can go for next shopping soon so that I can grab for more foods! Japan foods, I miss you so much!!!

Onigiri_7There is a new Japanese food restaurant open at Suntech Bayan Baru, Onigiri Station. Actually it is not newly open but yesterday was our first try there. We park our car at Sunshine Market and walk to the restaurant. Before we arrived at Onigiri Station, my brain already trigger me back to Japan. The fragrance from the restaurant was very similar to restaurants in Japan.

This restaurant is quite small and everything is self service. I ordered a set of salmon don, which came with miso soup and green tea ice cream. Free flow of barley tea and RO water are available too.

MaeSalong_1Camus's brother recommended this restaurant to us, saying the environment is very nice and comfort. He told us foods there are not consistent, sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Last weekend, thinking on what to eat for dinner, we decided to give this a try. With GPS guidance, we arrived at there smoothly.

We were very surprised and excited when we arrived at there. Environment is very good to me. We like Bali style and their design is very closed to Balinese design. We snap few photos and quickly order foods as many people were dining there.

James Foo western food is located in Tanjung Tokong Penang. I have heard of it's popularity since years ago, but have not find a chance to try it. Last two weeks, we have decided to go there for dinner.

Without disappointment, we are quite satisfied with the food, on the portion and taste.

We ordered steak without mentioned on how well we want the beef to be cooked. When the steak was served, we were surprised to see the steak was medium well cooked. We can still see blood came out from the beef, it was yummy.
