Apple & Cranberry Baked Cheesecake Recipe

It has been long time I never bake cheesecake again. Last Saturday, I grab one Anchor cream cheese from bakery ingredient shop and start to bake this Apple & Cranberry Baked Cheesecake. This is the first time I cook apple ingredient, as I do not really like apple. But after this, I will continue with apple stuff as it really taste delicious. The green apple is not sour at all after cook in sugar and lemon juice. I believe this is a good way to enjoy green apple if you do not like sour, as some people claimed that green apple helps in reducing colesterol. Well, no matter this is true or not, who cares? As I only care on the recipe, and you?

Mikki G Restaurant (Formerly Home's Cafe) | D'piazza, Bayan Lepas

After Green Island western food restaurant, there is another newly open western food restaurant in Bayan Lepas area. It was formerly known as Home's Cafe, and now change to Mikki G. We managed to visit this place on last Friday, second day of the opening. 10% discount on all foods and it is applicable until end of April 2013. Heard that the chef is from Legend hotel in KL. The interior of the restaurant remained the same as previous and worker's uniform is still black in colour. Menu wise, they serve more on western food, including chicken chop, chicken cordon bleu, roast rosemary chicken, spegetti and etc. Lamb shrank is popular according to my colleague. Besides, the old menu "Local Delight" from Home's Cafe are still available.

Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine Day! This year of Chinese New Year falls on 14th February which is also a Valentine Day. Shuang Xi Ling Men ah! (Dual Happiness) Yesterday was Chinese New Year eve, it was a day where our whole family gathered together for dinner, chit-chatting, and spending time together.

1339663436622Recently, there is a newly open restaurant at D'piazza, House of Kolomee. This restaurant sells Kuching Kolomee. Heard that the boss of this restaurant is a Sarawakian and he is also the boss of Carpenter Street near to Sunshine Square, Bayan Baru.

I have visited this restaurant for 2nd times for lunch. They open daily from 11am~3pm and 5.30pm~9pm except Sunday.

The original kolomee is RM4 per plate, with free flow of drink (plain water, herbal tea) and soup.

With additional RM0.50, you can add one taukua, one chicken wing and half egg to your kolo mee at RM4.50. With any set, you will get a free flow of drink and soup.

To order, it is a self service method where you have to decide which kolomee you want first, then proceed to monitor in front of kitchen area, and order by your own. Number will be printed out and you can sit at your place while waiting for your mee.

The kolomee tasted not bad to me, a little similar to our wan tan mee. But the sauce is more plain.

Compare with Carpenter Street, the price here is cheaper. I hope that the prices and portion of food will maintain all the time.
