Home Dine Out Hong Kong and China

Mikki G Restaurant (Formerly Home's Cafe) | D'piazza, Bayan Lepas

After Green Island western food restaurant, there is another newly open western food restaurant in Bayan Lepas area. It was formerly known as Home's Cafe, and now change to Mikki G. We managed to visit this place on last Friday, second day of the opening. 10% discount on all foods and it is applicable until end of April 2013. Heard that the chef is from Legend hotel in KL. The interior of the restaurant remained the same as previous and worker's uniform is still black in colour. Menu wise, they serve more on western food, including chicken chop, chicken cordon bleu, roast rosemary chicken, spegetti and etc. Lamb shrank is popular according to my colleague. Besides, the old menu "Local Delight" from Home's Cafe are still available.

Nakau なか卯 | Japanese Style Fast Food | Japan

Are you looking for something cheap in Japan? Of course, the “something” here means FOOD. Well, I think most of the people know that dining in Japan is not cheap, but if you are good in dig hole (korek lubang), you can actually get a cheap meal too. One of the “hole” I found is to walk around “super market” (I used to call those convenient market/mini market/super market hampalang (all) as super market), most of the “super market” selling bento 弁当 (lunch box). When come to certain time, few hours before the food is expired, they will have discount on the bento. Grab one!

Christmas Dinner Celebration | Little Cottage, Penang

First of all, I would like to apologize to MnY blog's owner (Camus and myself) for publishing a poor quality photos. As mentioned in "About Us", the purpose of creating MnYfoodtalk.com is to share anything that is related to food. We will not only share "good" food but also "bad" food. Either "bad in taste", "bad in service", "bad in price" or anything else. Today, we are going to share our year 2010 Christmas dinner celebration experience here.

Coffee Smith 咖啡史密斯 | Maritime Piazza, Karpal Singh Drive, Georgetown, Penang.

When there are more and more cafe open in Penang, I wish I could visit them one by one to enjoy a cup of coffee but I only managed to go one of them recently. It is Coffee Smith that located at Maritime Piazza, Karpal Singh Drive. We went there during Friday lunch, it was very crowded and we had to wait for a while to get our seat. The waiter gave us few copies of menu which I tought it was an advertisement booklet. I found it is quite special to printed menu in this way. After grance through the menu, I found that their foods are quite pricey. In fact most of the cafes are selling foods at higher price range nowadays. I ordered brunch set "Benny Duck Egg and English Muffin", it came with two duck eggs and ham on bread, two pieces of mini hamburger steak (very mini), fries and salad. This set includes one small cup of fruit juice and black coffee, RM24. The way they serve on "wooden plate" is special but I wonder how they clean the plate? Will it remained very clean after use for many times, will the stain leave behind the wooden material? They serve spaghetti too, Spring Vegetable Spaghetti at RM16. Hokkaido Scallops Cream Noodle at RM22. Portion was not big but taste creamy and delicious, you can find two scallops in the plate. Grilled Sandwich, Sicilion Chicken, RM14. I like the grill toast pattern. Caramel Macchiato, RM11. Nice latte art...

HKD200(RM80)?Money mouth

LadyRoad
