Double Electric Breast Pump | Lacte Duet

I wish to share something about my electric breast pump that has been used for almost a year. I bought this breast pump when my baby was about 4 months old, after used Medela Swing for about 2-3 months. Medela Swing is single pump, which took me about 1 hour to clear both sides, Imagine if you need 2 to 3 sessions per day during working hour, how much time you left to do your work? And it was second hand pump get from my sis in law, I am not sure it was due to old pump or what, the Medela Swing can't really empty my breast. Till one day when I was frustrated, I decided to invest on new pump. With some survey, I decided to get in this Lacte Duet Double Electric Breast Pump. It was RM399 the time I bought, I told myself if I able to feed baby with my breast milk until she is one year old, I will only need around RM50 per month (start count from 5 months old), and all of us knew breast milk is much safer and healthier compare to formula. Autumnz milk storage bag to store my milk With this new pump, I managed to empty my breast, hence I get more milk. This pump comes with double motor where user can adjust both sides with different power level. With this feature, in case of one motor break down , you can still use another side. It is also more quiet compare with M.Swing and some other top brand model. Another thing that I like about this pump is you can use it with power bank, it is especially helpful where you can pump at anywhere even though without power supply. My breast pump bag with two compartments - FAME Breastpump Knapsack/Backpack (L) As the original bottles that came with the set have wider opening, the pump also came with converter where you can pump directly into your Bumblebee/Autumnz or whatever bottles that has smaller opening. It is convenient as you do not need to wash extra bottle after pump, just pump inside your storage bottles. The only thing that I am not happy with this pump is it contains many parts and you will need more time in washing the parts. I have this in my mind: "I will get in Freemie to use with this pump for my next baby", as I feel Freemie is easier to wash, and yes, this pump can use with Freemie. Besides this I would say it is a good pump. To make my pumping more comfortable, I use it with handsfree bra, it is much more convenient and can reduce shoulder pain as you no need to bend your head down by always looking at your bottles. With handsfree bra, you can work while pumping as your hands will be free at the time you pump. My day will be full of joy and satisfaction when I get this amount in one pumping session! Fresh Sashimi | Hypermarket Japan

I have just passed my first weekend in Japan. This time I am in Osaka. For my first shopping, I bought a lot of foods, not for one day, but for one week. Since this time I will at here for only 3 weeks, so I bought some to bring back to Malaysia too. On Sunday, I bought a pack of sashimi for my dinner. 6 types of sashimi in a box. Although it is from hyper market, but all are very fresh. I like salmon and prawn the most. Just now, I tried the pre-pack sesame cold noodle. During summer, they have different kinds of cold noodle. This cold noodle is instant pack that I bought from same hyper market. Taste not bad too. Others food that I bought include can coffee, yakult, biscuits, egg pudding that I like so much, fruit juice, milk tea that I miss so much, varient kinds of pocky and more. Caramel egg pudding I wish I can go for next shopping soon so that I can grab for more foods! Japan foods, I miss you so much!!!

 

Pandan Chiffon Cake Recipe

This is a long keep recipe that I baked few months ago. Baked it together with other chiffon cakes during my chiffon cake study. I get this recipe from Kitchen Tigress, I found her blog from youtube while I was searching for video on how to make chiffon cake.       Recipe 100g pandan leaves, use only soft and moist young leaves 70g freshly squeezed coconut milk, undiluted 180g egg whites ½tsp cream of tartar 50g sugar 60g egg yolks 50g sugar 60g corn oil ¼tsp salt 100g cake flour (sifted with baking powder) 1tsp baking powder Method 1. Blend pandan leaves with coconut milk and 1 tbsp water. Strain pandan leave and get green liquid. Set aside green liquid, which should weigh 95 g. 2. Add sugar into egg yolks, immediately whisk with hand whisk until pale and light. 3. Add in corn oil, mix well. 4. Add in green pandan coconut liquid, mix well. 5. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt, stir until well combined. 6. Whisk egg white with electrical hand mixer until big bubbles form, add in cream of tartar. 7. Continue whisk from medium to high speed until small bubbles form (egg white is white in colour now) . 8. Slowly add in sugar, continue whisk at high speed until soft peak formed. 9. Add 1/3 of meringue into egg yolk mixture, mix gently with hand whisk until well combined, you will get a light mixture. 10. Change hand whisk to spatula, fold in 1/2 of remaining meringue. GENTLY fold with egg yolks batter until 50% combined (you will still see white meringue now). 11. Add all remaining meringue and fold GENTLY with spatula again until well combined. I did in in this way: spatula cut mixture into center all the way to bottom bowl, scrap from bottom along bowl side toward you. Rotate bowl few degree and repeat this action until well combined. (your mixture should be very light and volumic now). 12. Pour batter into 18cm chiffon cake pan, level the surface. Bang mixing bowl against worktop 2-3 times to remove air bubbles. Run a chopstick round side of tin to remove more air bubbles. Level and smooth top. Bake in preheated oven at 160C at lowest rack with fan forced for 40-45 minutes.   13. Remove cake pan and invert pan immediately, cool completely before remove cake from pan. Result The cake should be evenly green but I saw some white spot, it was due to unbalance mix during step 11, meringue not mix properly with egg yolk batter. Compare with other recipe which I used 5 eggs, this recipe used only 4 eggs. It is shorter compare with 5 eggs chiffon cake on right (picture below). I prefer 5 eggs recipe. Plain Cheesecake | Baked with Rice Cooker

Cake can be baked in several ways, by using an oven which is the most common way. I knew that cake can be steamed with gas as well. But have you ever tried to bake a cake with rice cooker? Basically I do not hear people in our country bake with rice cooker, and I was surprised to see a book that introduces how to bake a cake with rice cooker. Without further consideration, I bought the book.

吃完早餐后,我们乘船前往香港机场,在香港机场用午餐,吃了不错的日本拉面,然后就程搭飞机前往吉隆坡,再转机返回槟城了。

这也算是一次开心的旅游,虽说有些不满,但大致上也算不错的体验。难得有机会再次和父母到国外走走,很开心的。有机会啊,我想我会到其他地方游玩,毕竟对我而言,这些地方属于"本人到此一游"这种体验就。并不会有着期待心再想去"二游"或"三游"的感觉了。
