It was my nieces birthday again on last two weeks. Yes, again...she is now 10 years old and her sister whose birthday also fall in May, is 7 years old this year. Time flies, I am getting older and they are getting bigger. Our family normally celebratetheir birthday at the same day since both birthday fall in May. We always say they are "sipek ho mia" (super good fortune) because we celebrated their birthday yearly. Unlike my generation, I only get to celebrate my birthday on my 12th and 18th birthday.

Manual Breast Pump | MAM

I bought this manual breast pump when baby was 15 months old, with the intention of boost up milk supply, also can pump during weekend at anywhere and easier to wash as contains lesser parts. It costs RM199, and I bought it online with free shipping. MAM manual pump parts Full sets of pump This package includes one manual breast pump, one 160ml bottle, one 130ml bottle and 2 caps for milk storage purpose. For the first time I used, I feel it is hard to control as I got around 1oz only, but it was after feeding my baby. Until now I had tried more than 5 times, it was ok to me. I also tried to pump in company whereby my baby not with me for around 8 hours, pump twice in company, but gave up on that as it took me more time with less milk, and can't work while pumping as I will need to hold it, not like electric pump, I use it with handsfree bra which allow me to control keyboard and mouse during pumping. As for washing part, it's very easy as all the parts can be easily clean. As conclusion, this manual pump will able to serve me during non working day when baby is with me, it's also good to boost up milk supply and to keep another bottle of milk in stock. Sometimes I will travel around during weekend, so it is also easier to pack this manual pump for travel, easier to wash as well. It is a very good experience to try on both electric and manual pump, both have the pros and cons, I will choose which one to use base on different situation. Happy breast feeding!

今天是行程的最后一天了,不舍的心情涌了出来。没关系,好好享受这一天吧! 26/10/2012 8:30 感谢导游把我们带到一家卖玉的店,让我们有机会遇见全香港最有孝心的儿子。由于这位儿子妈妈的脚不方便行动,所以这位身为儿子的,代替母亲从香港赶来广州拜佛。好虔诚,好孝顺啊! 母亲就是这玉店的老板,所以这个做儿子的就是代妈妈拜了神后,再来这店面做生意,就这样巧合下,才有机会迎接我们这一团。这儿子还说,他的妈妈是在大马嫁过去香港的,所以和我们这班马来西亚的团友就算是瞒亲的啦。儿子的这一番话是在是感动呐。。。但,我信你才怪!听到这个"儿子"的废话,什么肮脏话都想骂出来,不骂实在对不起自己的心脏,让自己压着气,心脏却气得跳到乱七八糟实在不好! 这"儿子"还说今天是不做生意的,看看就好,叫我们不要买。每个玉的价钱是上百上千元的,但因为我们是"亲人",原本上百的玉只卖人民币50,你信吗?信你才怪!实在看不过这种耍生意的手法,一来浪费时间说废话,二来看到这种虚伪的做法,实在看不下去。 还好,最庆幸的是,本团是没有任何人购买任何东西的。谢谢大家合作!要是这样也有人购买,实在是。。。无话可说啊!我说嘛,做生意,老老实实好的,别转弯抹角,虚虚伪伪,这招不流行了啦!   26/10/2012 10:30 发泄完毕,到了吃午餐时间,没错,听废话听了一个早上。接下来,吃深圳金钱豹自助餐时间到啦!这里有上百种的食物,有中餐,日本餐,西餐,意大利餐,海鲜类的,烧烤类的,果汁,蛋糕甜品,雪糕等等。。。任你吃。领队说,这一餐要RM100++的,还满贵的呢。

Burger_2Have you ever eaten rabbit meat? ...deer meat...and camel meat? When Camus told me rabbit meat is delicious, my reaction: "yarrrkk, how can we eat rabbit meat?"

One day, when I taken lunch at Kompleks Bukit Gedung, Bayan Lepas, I found a burger store that sells weird weird types of burger, such as lamb and rabbit. Beef burger and chicken burger are very common to me, but lamb and rabbit are new to me. I informed Camus and brought him there for dinner.

IMG_20130724_110521Instant Ramen Museum is located at Ikeda-shi, Osaka. You can experience making your own cup noodle here. If you would like to make noodle from sratch, here is the place for you too. Besides, the history of the chicken ramen development, which is the world’s first instant ramen, and the changes in many products over the years can be found here too. Entrance is free unless you want to buy cup noodle or attend the making noodle class.

I visited this museum to make my cup noodle. After seeing through the ramen history and development process, I bought two empty cups from vending machine inside the museum, 300 yen per cup. Then I was arranged to sit at "art class corner" to draw and decorate my cup. After finished, I proceed to collect my ramen and choose the ingredients I like. You can choose 4 out of 10 ingredients. Then you can choose your soup base before proceed to final packing.

It is fun to make your own cup noodle, I did not join the making noodle class as it is reservation at earlier time. Overall, it was a fun experience here and I will enjoy my cup noodle with Camus after return to Penang.

Today is our last day in Chiang Mai, I hope it was our first day here. Our last destination was to Warorot Market. You can find all kind of stuff from this market, fresh flower, clothes, shoes, fabric, kitchen utensil, tower, food and many more. It is a local market where their local people will come here to buy their things.

今天是清迈的最后一天了,实在是不舍得回啊!但计划中要去的地方都去了,只剩下Warorot Market。从网上得知这里是本地人逛的市场,东西比较便宜又应有尽有。我们乘搭双条抵达该处,也是20Baht一个人。在这儿,从鲜花,衣服,鞋子,布,厨房用具,毛巾,吃的用的都有。

We had our last shopping here before return back to hotel for final packing.

我们在这里买了几匹布,衣服,皮带,草席帽,猪皮等,就完成了清迈的血拚。回到酒店收拾好行李后,到附近吃午餐。

We had the chance to taste their famous mango glutinous rice before we came back. It was really delicious. They also have durian glutinous rice which is very special and hard to get it from other place.

第一天来到这卖芒果糯米饭的摊口,看见他们已经收挡,还好最后一天还来得及吃上一碟芒果糯米饭及榴莲糯米饭,总算安心了。

We went to get a cup of coconut drink just opposite mango glutinous rice stall. The coconut drink is only 10Baht per big cup, delicious.

吃后觉得还是不太饱,就走到对面卖水摊口,买了一杯椰水,这椰水啊,真的很香很甜,才10Baht一大杯。Camus喝的最开心。

Then we go to another shop sells beef noodle which located the same row as mango glutinous rice.

我们也去到芒果糯米饭同排的面店,也不知他们卖什么,随便叫了一碗米粉汤面,原来是牛腩米粉汤,真的非常好吃。

After meal, we took Song Theaw to airport at 50Baht per person and end our journey at Chiang Mai.

之后,我们乘搭双条(50Baht一个人)抵达清迈机场,乘搭飞机飞回我国。就这样,结束了我们的清迈之旅。

 

旅途感想:

这次的旅行,可是我们那么多次的旅途中,其中一次很令我们大开眼界,喜出望外,惊喜连连的旅途。很多事件实在是让我们刮目相看,所以给我们留下了很多难忘及美好的回忆。

虽然这次的旅程花费超出预计,但受益良多,实在是让我们增广见闻。我觉得嘛,人生就得享受,懂得赚的同时,必须懂得花,只要不过于奢侈就行嘛。当地的食物,风俗,人情,景点,都让我们难以忘怀,真的还想再去多几次。清迈,是我们非常推荐的一个旅游城市,您也不妨亲自到哪儿体会体会当地的人情世故吧!

Kaya Jam Recipe Using Breadmaker PDF Print E-mail

IMG_20150723_150551This is the third recipe that I shared on how to make kaya jam. First with traditional mother's method, second was fast method, and this is the easiest among all, using bread maker.
If you think fast and lazy method won't turn out delicious kaya, then I can tell you, this recipe able to produce quite nice kaya jam.
Recipe I get from here.

Ingredients:
1 cup Coconut milk
1 cup Eggs(about 3-4 eggs)
1 cup sugar
Few pieces of pandan leaves

Method:
1. Pour all ingredients into breadmaker.
(I like this recipe as it calls for 1 cup of each ingredient, so I can use the coconut milk box to measure sugar and eggs, just follow the proportion)

2. Select "Jam" function from breakmaker.
3. Start jam making by press on "Start" button.
4. Stir in between to ensure jam is well mixed (If needed).
5. When done, remove kaya from breadmaker after it is slightly cool. Blend if you prefer soft and smooth texture.

When taste, it is more towards "egg" taste, hence Camus added caramel to the kaya, and now it is almost similar to mom's version.

Logo31Merry Christmas 2015! We had four days holiday on this year Christmas, a super happy holiday mood to welcome this year Christmas.

We celebrated our Christmas at The View Restaurant, with their semi-buffet menu that can opt for either Turkey or Lamb for the main course. We get one Lamb and the other was rib eye steak that not in the menu.

Before the soup was served, we started with the buffet. Not much choices but some of them taste really good. They have salad, fingers food, fruits, and more. Desserts were one of my main focus, their tiramisu is one of the best that I had ever ate.

AppleMilkLogo37When baby more than 6 months, I started to think what to serve her besides breast milk. The first thing I make for her is steam apple with breast milk.

Ingredients:
Apple
Beasts milk

Method:
1. Peel apple skin, cut into small cube.

2. Steam apple in boiling water until soft.

4. Mix well with breast milk.

I am very happy to see her grow healthily with food I make for her. Although breast feeding journey is tiring, but everything is worth when see her growing up with my own breast milk.
