Instant Ramen Museum | Osaka, Japan

Instant Ramen Museum is located at Ikeda-shi, Osaka. You can experience making your own cup noodle here. If you would like to make noodle from sratch, here is the place for you too. Besides, the history of the chicken ramen development, which is the world’s first instant ramen, and the changes in many products over the years can be found here too. Entrance is free unless you want to buy cup noodle or attend the making noodle class. I visited this museum to make my cup noodle. After seeing through the ramen history and development process, I bought two empty cups from vending machine inside the museum, 300 yen per cup. Then I was arranged to sit at "art class corner" to draw and decorate my cup. After finished, I proceed to collect my ramen and choose the ingredients I like. You can choose 4 out of 10 ingredients. Then you can choose your soup base before proceed to final packing. It is fun to make your own cup noodle, I did not join the making noodle class as it is reservation at earlier time. Overall, it was a fun experience here and I will enjoy my cup noodle with Camus after return to Penang.

 

Fresh Sashimi | Hypermarket Japan

I have just passed my first weekend in Japan. This time I am in Osaka. For my first shopping, I bought a lot of foods, not for one day, but for one week. Since this time I will at here for only 3 weeks, so I bought some to bring back to Malaysia too. On Sunday, I bought a pack of sashimi for my dinner. 6 types of sashimi in a box. Although it is from hyper market, but all are very fresh. I like salmon and prawn the most. Just now, I tried the pre-pack sesame cold noodle. During summer, they have different kinds of cold noodle. This cold noodle is instant pack that I bought from same hyper market. Taste not bad too. Others food that I bought include can coffee, yakult, biscuits, egg pudding that I like so much, fruit juice, milk tea that I miss so much, varient kinds of pocky and more. Caramel egg pudding I wish I can go for next shopping soon so that I can grab for more foods! Japan foods, I miss you so much!!!

 

Rabbit Burger (Burger Arnab) | Kompleks Bukit Gedung, Bayan Lepas, Penang

One day, when I taken lunch at Kompleks Bukit Gedung, Bayan Lepas, I found a burger store that sells weird weird types of burger, such as lamb and rabbit. Beef burger and chicken burger are very common to me, but lamb and rabbit are new to me. I informed Camus and brought him there for dinner.

 

Ki no me (kinome) Japanese Restaurant | The One, Penang

Ki no me, a Japanese Restaurant located at The One, Bayan Lepas. Before went there, comments from others about this restaurant are positive. Good food with good price, but need to wait for nearly one hour before the food was serve. When I blog for this restaurant, I google for Ki no me, and I found this: 木の芽, the young leaves of the sansho tree (Japanese pepper). I think the restaurant named after this leaf as I observed the wall is decorated with many greeny leaves. I believed they are ki no me. Today, we decided to give it a try, we were lucky as we get a parking space right in front of the restaurant and not crowded at the time we arrived there.
